Offering different kinds of music for transformation is my passion and purpose. But this isn’t just something I’ve trained in. I’ve dedicated my lifework to healing through sound because I’ve experienced it’s transformative power for myself.
As a Métis person, accessing sound for ceremony and healing is in my ancestry, something I’m very proud of. My family is also a family that makes music together and now with a young son, music is a part of our daily lives.
As a young person, I struggled with several eating disorders and social anxiety. I hated my body and myself and traditional therapy didn’t quite get at the heart of my issues. Luckily, I found singing, music and mind-body therapy which became a big part of my complete recovery. Embodied sound helped me transform and release in ways that talking alone could not.
Now, the work I do is informed by this lived experience.
I blend sun-kissed tones and soulful lyrics, using music as a means to connect deeply and promote healing. As an accomplished vocalist, multi-instrumentalist, and certified music therapist (MTA), my passion lies in using sound as a powerful tool for self-love, confidence, expression and mental health.
I offer:
No matter what I’m offering, I aim create experiences that foster deep peace, a sense of community and an opportunity for us to remember who we really are.
In addition to my personal healing experience, I also have extensive training and 2 decades of experience in the field of Music Counselling Therapy and Embodied Healing Arts. My expertise in music therapy (BMT, MTA) has enabled me to support individuals dealing with anxiety, depression, physical pain, palliative care and eating disorders. My official certifications include:
My musical journey has taken me across Canada and internationally. I’m grateful my global travels through India, Indonesia, Peru and Australia have enriched my understanding of the healing power of music from different cultures, allowing me to blend global sounds into my work.
Through travel I’ve studied with renowned teachers like Yogrishi Vishveketu, Shakti Durga, Sri Sakthi Amma and I’ve performed and toured with musicians like Jai Uttal, Fantuzzi, Shimshai and Dave Stringer. I’ve been featured on media CTV Morning and the Breakfast Show. I’m an accomplished recording artist with singer-songwriter and mantra albums available here and all online spaces.
Driven by my personal healing journey, I am passionate about helping others feel confident, creative, authentically expressed and proud about who they are through music and mindful practices.
I’m the founder of the Sparrow Sound Therapy School, that offers sound therapy courses, the Hangups to Harmony Initiative and the Vocal Liberation Immersion, programs designed to help women business owners in the health and wellness industry embrace their voice, embody their value and empower authentic expression through shamanic sound, embodiment practice and journeys.
